HEC has confirmed to many applicants of US, EU. Why the adcoms are not releasing results of Indian applicants

I don't think this silence augurs well for any of us. Personally, I don't think we've converted, for if we did we would have known by now.

Dear all,

Admitted to HEC

I am a 29-years-old French Aerospace engineer with 5 years of experience.

My initial carrier goal is to develop the space-mining industry.

Pre-selection phase

I sent my application on October 10. Hence, I should have received pre-selection results on October 14. However, due to unknown reasons, I did not get any news from Adcom.

After a stressful weekend, I finally received a congratulation e-mail.

Adcom apologized for the delay and explained me that they needed more time to process my application.



Interview Phase

I was in business travel during the time allowed for the interview phase. Adcom offered me to switch from round 2 to round 3, which I accepted.

My two interviews were very informal. One in a Starbuck and the other in a WeWork office.

Nothing special to tell. I shared my carrier objectives and responded to classical interview questions.

Selection phase

Like other members of the forum, no news from Adcom on December 13.

After a couple of phone calls, I reached Adcom.

Once again, my application was not complete. One of my interviewer had forgotten to send his report to HEC. Fortunately, I succeeded to get in touch with him and solved this situation.

Hope this feedback will help other applicants to go through the application process.

Anyone got an update today?

I received an email from my AdCom regarding my application. There had been an issue with recommendations and the AdCom, after I pursued for a couple of weeks, finally responses and marked my issue as resolved.

Though mine not an admission/interview update, I'm wondering whether others received emails? Solely based on the AdCom being active today after many days.

I emailed Adcom yesterday to check if there is anything I can do to expedite the process. Roughly 30 mins later, I got the admission confirmation email.

Congratulations!

I believe the adcom assigned to India was out of office, hence we didn't get updates until yesterday.

Can you share a bit about your interviews? Will you be accepting HEC's offer?

Hello all

The deadlines on HEC website show as Jan 3 and feb 3 for the coming rounds...

Wanted to check if there were previous rounds and the portion of class admitted therein?
Also if I apply by Feb 3 would I be denting my chances as I am an Indian applicant?

Any inputs would be most welcome

Yes, there were rounds in 2019. You can check the admitted students list on the following forum - https://gmatclub.com/forum/calling-all- ... l#p2423532.
Your chances depend upon lot of things such as: The competition you are facing against Indian pool and other applicants in the round you are applying to, strength of your overall profile, how many Indians already admitted in the class to keep class Diversity factor in place.
The only thing which is controllable is your strength of profile So, give your best shot. All the best.
