We have updated GMAT Club chat with a number of new features and a new look!

Visit the New GMAT Club Chat >>


Now you can create chat groups - any user can create a chat group:
  • Public (anyone can join)
  • By request - others can see the group and can ask to join but your approval is required for them to join
  • Hidden - people can only join if you invite them


How to Invite users to join your Group:
  • Create your group chat
  • Then click EITHER Invite Member and type in their username OR
  • Alternatively you can copy the Invite Link (don't click it - just right click and copy it) and either post it or send it to the users you wish to join. Anyone who has that link will be able to join a group, both hidden and by request without your approval.


To see who is Online:
  1. Visit that group chat
  2. Click the ... button in the chat header
  3. Choose "Chat Members" to see who is online at the moment


Thank you for many reports and suggestions! We have fixed all of them as far as I can tell. If something is not right, please post it.

I already informed nightblade about this. but I will post here anyway.

I don't see the three dots next to online so I can see who all is online. Attaching the screenshot for this. Also, I am using Chrome Version 79.0.3945.117 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Also, when I scroll towards the bottom it behaves weird. I can't take a screen print for this. I will need to take a video. lol

Thank you. Please try clearing your cache or refreshing the page a few times to get the 3 dots. Perhaps CTRL+F5. There is a lot of caching involved...

As to the jittery screen - I know what you mean. We thought we got rid of most of it (refresh/cache purge may help). You do not need to remove cookies or anything like that, just files/cached files.

So Refreshing multiple times Or CTRL+F5 solves the 3 dots issue.

But jittery screen still exists.

Note: I had 320MB of cache lol

Thanks a lot for introducing another innovative feature. This is a great platform making people's dream come true by helping them to ace aspired scores. Do you have any plan to launch an individual section where people can post and seek help about meaning-related things like the meaning of an individual sentence or a phrase or anything?

Editing my post:

1. I am unable to add a display picture in group. The size is 140x120 (png). It does not show uploading status and message of acceptance or rejection.
2. The links posted comes in Black is illegible on Blue background. Can we replace black with some other color?
3. New chat tab near to username is cool. The private chat notification is coming in message and replies tab. I think, it should come on new chat tab.

Hey bb,
I am not sure if its the problem with my laptop resolution or something else.
but whenever i scroll on chat screen page, the entire page go crazy and not able to adjust the screen scoll flicker.
Also the chat sessions hang if one has multiple chat sessions open
