Is that not a bit too aggressive? The February 11th deadline? Any R1 applicants here?

Surprisingly, low traffic for 2021 cohort. Maybe its too early.
Dont worry about feb 11th deadline. If you are not ready , dont rush in. I have been told by an alum that its ok to apply by Apr as well.

Hi

Do we need to send original transcripts along with the application or scanned copies? Also, can you analyze my profile here?

Here is my profile

About me: 27 years old, male, Indian

Education: Bachelor in Engineering Mechanical, CGPA 7.96/10, university is quite renowned in India

Target programs: MBA

GMAT: 700 Q49, V36

Industry Experience:
1.Current- Assistant Manager at Maruti Suzuki (Automotive); subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan.
sep 2017- Current.
Model development and Lab management.
Constant interaction with Japanese counterparts.
Awarded 2 consecutive quarterly awards for my work in this Financial Year
Leading a team of 3 for lab management and coordinating with all department members for revenue budget

2. Manager at Reliance Industries Limited (Petrochemical & Refinery)
Jul '15 - Sep'17
Mechanical Maintenance and shutdown related activities
Led a team of 4 technicians & 4 contractual employees

Extracurricular activities: Volunteer work during college at an NGO CRY. Recieved 3rd position in paper presentation at University. Organized college fests.

Languagues: 3 in total (but no french)

Hobbies: Travelling and trekking; watching movies & Reading books

Do you think getting admission and maybe a scholarship is realistic, given my lack of international exposure?

Post MBA I want to be a consultant in energy sector. Is it possible to make that switch and if so how should I approach my application

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the information. Any idea if the admissions are on a rolling basis within the round?

Only scanned copies initially. Originals when you get an admit.

Gmat score good enough for RSM.
Why did u switch from Petrochemical to Automotive ?
To my knowledge, there are no significant scholarships in RSM. Its one of the cheapest ones in Europe..

This is only 'too' aggressive if you have not prepared anything yet.

It is highly recommended to develop a comprehensive plan for each school that you are applying to and prepare in advance for each element of the application process.

Hi Kjohri,

I am currently attending IE Business School. But strongly considered RSM, and feel that it is a great school for many people.

What was your experience with RSM ? They have been super slow in replying. Its been 5 days now.

Are you a Spanish national ? A friend of mine had to return from IE since Spain does not give any time after graduation to look for a job.

My experience with RSM was extremely positive. RSM was the most personally connected B-school that I was in contact with. You need to know who your specific adcomm is, and keep in touch with that person.

It has been 5 days since what?

No, I am not a Spanish National, I am American. All graduates have a short time to find a job locally, but your friend is right, there are restrictions. It depends on what you do leading up to graduation and after. I am still learning the details of this concept. In the end, finding a post-MBA job starts immediately, and is up to the student to put in the amount of effort that they expect to receive benefits for.

Long leave or work travel are the only things that I have seen to affect replying within a couple days max.
I will send you a PM.

Good luck !

On what basis did they waive off the App Fee ? Did you request them ? Its generally unusual waiving off the App Fee.

I do not think it is that rare to waive the fee for applicants that are identified early and have the potential to be quality RSM candidates.
It was waived for me as well, and was not requested.
I think this is a benefit of early communication and having a profile that closely matches a good RSM candidate, but may not be related to any one specific item.

Good Luck to xbshi as well!

Thanks.

Thanks, I did not request them. It was done over a consultation call with AdminCo to discuss my profile, it was a nice surprise to me as well.

Anyone else submitted the application and/or inverviewed already?
