Calling all CBS deferred ED applicants - Class of 2022

hey guys...I didn't see a topic like this for this year
How have been your experience so far?
I applied ED and got waitlisted/deferred mid-october
Since then, I did everything I could to improve my chances.
First I got a call with the admissions officer responsible for my application. After that, I traveled to NYC (I'm from Brazil - long trip)...visited a class, spoke with several current students, attended a student chat, spoke in person with AO
I got three side letters:
One from a current student that attended college with me in Brazil One from a former student that currently works with me in my current job One from my boss who is a VIP and a former Columbia student (Economics)
Also, I work with a guy that is friends with a Professor from CBS...he told me that he would try to help me somehow
In the meantime, I got approved by another school and received a job offer from another company here in Brazil. I shared this with them, saying that I have CBS as my absolute first choice.
Finally, I just sent a thank you note for my AO just to show some love in this final sprint.
I don't know...I think I did everything that was possible to get off the waiting list. I didn't retake the GMAT because they told me that this was not necessary. (730 seems ok)
Let's hope for the best...just one more week to go (01feb)

Congratulations that is amazing news. Way to stay positive and keep following up. Now you are all done with applications right? Any new of fellowships?

Thanks! Yes, it's over...cbs has been my dream school since day 1
They told me that I wouldn't be considered for merit-based scholarships (what makes sense since I was waitlisted)...but I still have the chance to apply for need-based scholarships
