The time it will require for you to gamble on an improved test score is better spent at this point working on submitting stellar applications. Leverage what you have first; even if you got a 700 it would not help you if they are not interested in what they see with the application. They need to be interested in you and your profile above all things. Then, they will estimate if you can do the work.

One strategy I use is for applicants to make mention of a test retake date they have scheduled after submitting the app, like 6 weeks later. In your case, maybe state a willingness to retake the test if necessary (open to a conditional offer.)

You're working with about 6 weeks which is doable for both apps but no time to waste. If it's any consolation, I got a white male part-time Kellogg reapplicant with a 640; for someone more diverse the situation would be even better. A female part-time applicant to Booth with a 620. But we submitted strong apps so not typical.

Agreed they could not give you a specific answer because the GMAT required is very much profile-specific; there is a minimum threshold where they want to make sure you can do the work; I would strive for 75% in quant for that purpose. Do you have good grades in quant-related subjects? If not as a back up do MBA Math.

Wish your verbal was stronger but you can demonstrate those skills via the application, video interviews, in-person interviews.
