I'm surprised there's been no movement on the WL.

Crossing my fingers for good news when R2 candidates find out next week!
(I'll be anxiously watching my phone starting next Monday :please )

I'm still on the waitlist, hoping for the best. Submitted an update but haven't heard anything back other than an acknowledgement that they received it. i wonder if they're waiting to see who applies in R3 given the economy and covid. I bet they're angling on some real gems applying last-minute out of job insecurity.

You think?

Since all testing facilities are shut down, this would mean someone:
a) already has to have completed the GMAT/GRE
b) already told their boss & have them write a recommendations (in less than 2 weeks) amidst the craziness of their workplace

I agree it would be smart for those "gems", but logistically I think it might be challenging

nvm, you might be right.

I just saw several schools are waiving the need to submit a gmat score for round 3 applications :(

Good luck to everyone over the next few days! :please

If anyone gets off the waitlist, it would be great if you could let this group know :)

Just looked back at last year's Haas waitlist thread.

No one from R1 waitlist was admitted during R2 calls. Or at least no one posted about it:
https://gmatclub.com/forum/calling-all- ... 83777.html

But the decision date was way earlier last year (Thursday, March 14).
First person posted about getting off the WL the Monday after R2 results released (Monday, March 18)

How are other round 1 waitlist applicants balancing acceptances from round 2? I was admitted to Anderson today, but Haas is definitely my top choice. The Haas FAQs say they don't expedite based on other acceptances, but I'm curious if anyone has considered notifying Haas of other acceptances to see if it would help move the needle. Appreciate any thoughts or experiences you've heard from past applicants!

Looks like another year where no one from R1 waitlist was admitted during R2 decisions. I also haven't heard of R1 WL rejections in R2.

I found most surprising was that I received no communication during R2 decisions; I expected something like "we'd like to keep you on the waitlist" - akin to how other schools handle waitlist.

Not sure if anyone else is out there, since this thread has been silent. But figured I'd post an update for Haas WLers of future years, to help set expectations

I applied R2 and was just put on the waitlist. I wasn't invited to interview prior to the deadline, but they're giving everyone on the waitlist an opportunity to do the recorded virtual interview. I have a couple questions:

1. In my application, I selected that I'm interested in a the EWMBA if I don't get into the FT program. I'm wondering if they will still pass along my application to the EWMBA admissions office while I'm on the waitlist, or if I could potentially just sit on the waitlist until August, not be admitted, and miss out on the opportunity to be considered for the EWMBA program. Does anyone know their process?

2. Does anyone know how likely Haas is to offer merit-based scholarships to people admitted off of the waitlist? Also, do you know how often they give aid out to EWMBA students? I know they offer aid to EWMBA students, but I'm curious how likely this is.

Thanks!

Did anyone here attend Haas's "Waitlist Virtual Chat" on Tuesday, March 31? They mentioned that they'd send out a transcript afterward, but I haven't received anything and can't find anything on their website or my application portal. I'm afraid to follow up with them directly because I don't want to seem like I wasn't paying attention to instructions for how to access the transcripts.

Can anyone advise on how to access the transcript? Thanks!

Congratulations!! What strategy did you use? Any advice you can share for those who just got waitlisted in R2?

Hi xyz123xyz123

I went through their website and found a couple of chat transcripts but they are not related to the waitlist. Maybe they will upload the transcript to their website.
