Hi dharde9
My name is Shimri Winters and I head the strategy team here at
ARINGO. We prepare hundreds of candidates each year for their interviews and this is quite a common question.
As a past interviewer for LBS, I can tell you I love candidates that have a target industry and can mention major recruiters for that industry from my specific university.
So, my suggestion is: go ahead and mention the industry and the specific recruiters. Just make sure to mention them as options. for example: "I would like to work in investment banking, in companies such as Barclays or City, which I know recruit from your school". in this way, your answer is not limiting you to these brands, but shows you have done your homework and have a clear path ahead.
GOOD LUCK!
Shimri
