The score has to submitted by the date of submission of application. Therefore you should have the score by 11th September. In some cases, the admission committee can make exceptions and give you grace period to submit GMAT scores if you take permission in advance.

Candidates who have been accepted at IIMs or called for interview, can share the interview topics from last 2-3 years - it will be very helpful for all. I am sure the topics this year are going to be new and different but an idea of what kind of questions to accept will help everyone be more ready, if selected for the interview round.

Since MHRD has asked IIMs to stop offering 1 year MBA, does anyone have any ideas regarding the future of PGPX.
And should applicants be concerned?

This is indeed a point of concern. IMPO, things will be sorted out. If i am not wrong, in the past also similar news came and in result course name changes happened to comply with that. All we can do is be positive and hope for best!

I really don't think it is point of concern-> IIM has been granted autonomy and HRD intereference is a violation of that law!. Just to add on, ISB provides diploma-> so in the worst case, IIMs would zing back to ISB level.. Just to top it-> IIM A was ranked the best in India in 2016 when the IIM act was not implemented. So I think we need to start working on our application and stop worrying.

No fauji, the course name changed coz IIM act was implemented and IIMs became the only institutes in India giving an MBA. IIM has the autonomy. Such silly reports should not be of any concern. And as I stated before, the worst that can happen is that PGPX zings back to its 2016 state, which essentially is equivalent to ISB(just stating) .SO cheers!

Hi All,

IIM-A application asks in each job whether it is a Managerial Position and No.of people reporting to you.
I have done 2 roles:
1. Project Lead
2. Supplier Quality Engineer

In both, I have directly/indirectly managed a team or a group of vendors. But in none of them the team reported to me. I was more of functionally managing the people without direct reporting authority. And my official designation is not a manager.

So does that mean i cannot put "yes" in managerial position and then mention how many people i led/managed?

Think about it like this, if you did an appraisal (giving feedback for appraisal doesn't count) for a team/employee then its a managerial position. What you mentioned is not counted as a managerial position

Please note that IIMs were giving diplomas till the 2017-2018 batch and they gave degrees only for the last two years. If MHRD continues to pursue this, IIMs might go back to giving diplomas.

Being an IIM Alum (IIM B EPGP), I can say that receiving a diploma or degree does not change anything for students. These programs are well recognized and I have not heard of any employer differentiating based on whether the applicant has a degree or a diploma.

As such, I would advise applicants to prepare a strong application and continue aspiring for these programs. All the best!

Would you mind sharing info on How's it going with all the activities (given current situation - Covid19)? I have heard that classes are happening online(pls correct me). is it impacting overall learning experience(for e.g. case studies, group work etc.)? Anything you would like to share for this year applicants.

Yes classes are happening online. Definitely it is different from the experience we would have had at the campus, but anyhow, were are managing.

For future applicants, I would suggest they try to attend and many webinars as possible ( even if it is not related to you. Eg PSU/entrepreneurship). The webinars will help you to better understand what the school is looking for. Also, it will help you during the interviews as you might be able to structure your answers in a way that professors want to listen.

shr90 is there any clarity on when the class can move into the campus? Is IIMA extending its term just as ISB has increased its term by a month?

As of now there is no clarity as to when we will shift to campus.
Yes, the sessions here will also get extended.
