Hi Manan/ Team
S4G,
Hope you're doing well. I am new to this forum and would like to know more about you and your journey. This is a wonderful initiative and a god-send for people like me that are quite unsure about how to position themselves. Here is a little bit about me -
Queries1. How to position/ differentiate myself as a candidate for the admission rounds? What are some key areas I should highlight/ focus on.
2. Ideal GMAT score. Incase, I am unable to achieve my target 700+ score, should I still apply with a lower score?
3. Is there a focus on tech in ISB's PGP curriculum? What are some key benefits for candidates like me wanting to keep a balance between tech, strategy and consulting from the curriculum as well as placements?
Regards
Hi
sanjnadhingraThanks for reaching out. Glad you find our endeavor useful.
You have a good profile overall. At your firm, it seems you have added a lot of value beyond your call of duty. Endeavors such as creating of BI tools, publishing whitepapers, etc. in addition to your client engagements within assurance and advisory (which I know are taxing!). The promotions and laurels would add value to your application.
Regarding your questions
1. Focus on your strengths and results along with the journey (how) of your professional success so far. Highlight your other endeavors around blogging (with engagement stats, topics, etc). In general, highlight what traits would enable you to become a successful leader with examples from client engagement and items such as process mining solutions
2. With your experience, a 700+ would complement your profile. In case you fall slightly short, you must still apply
3. ISB has a specific specialization on Information and Technology Management with courses such as Software Product Management, Designing the Digital Value Chain, Web 2.0, etc. In addition, you can specialize in Strategy, number of courses there as well. Apart from that, there are multiple opportunities to hone your skills in the combination through ELPs, case competitions, etc.
Since you are aiming to take the Gmat in the first week of September, I'd strongly recommend you to start with your application now since there won't be enough time after your Gmat to craft an impactful application!
Hope this helps.
Feel free to reach out for further queries.
Cheers,
Manan
