Attention International Candidates:
Following is an excerpt.from Rice Business School on executive order on H1B

At Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business in Houston, Texas, Dean Peter Rodriguez says the executive order is the equivalent of self-harm, hobbling the economy at a critical moment. Rather than adverse, its effects on the U.S. workforce and economy are positive — and should be embraced.

“What is hard to communicate to those who aren’t familiar with the H-1B visa process, or OPT and the STEM extension, is just how competitive these programs are and what it means for the U.S. to be able to employ relatively small numbers of the best talent the world has to offer. Moreover, this executive order simply gets the economics wrong. These programs make U.S. firms more competitive and raise their productivity, thereby growing domestic jobs and domestic spending.

“This move is like shooting our most technologically advanced firms in the foot, hands, and lungs for the sake of a transparent political calculation.”

Hey Annie, not so sure about that. Did you try mailing them or asking via in person?

GMAT Waiver Request for Professional or Full-Time MBA Candidates
If you would like to be considered for a GMAT waiver, please submit your resume and transcript(s). Test waivers will be considered based upon the following criteria:
Seven or more years of full-time work experience
A graduate degree in a STEM or quantitative field
A terminal degree (e.g., MD, JD, PhD)
A quantitatively oriented professional certification (e.g. CPA, CFA)
Other graduate-level standardized test scores demonstrating the comparable quantitative ability (e.g. MCAT)
We will notify you of your eligibility for the waiver upon review of your information. If you feel that your work history and previous coursework are not good indicators of your readiness for the Professional or Full-Time MBA programs, you should consider taking the GMAT, GRE or Executive Assessment (PMBA candidates only). If you are applying to the Executive MBA program, you will be required to submit the Resume Pre-Assessment form instead of this GMAT Waiver Request.

In order to process your waiver request for a certain Full-Time MBA round, you will need to submit it at least ONE MONTH before the desired round deadline. (e.g. for our first round the deadline for waivers is Sept. 16, 2020) Late waiver requests will only be considered for the following round.

If you have any questions regarding the waiver process, please reach out to Janice Kennedy, Executive Director, at Janice.L.Kennedy@rice.edu.

I have submitted my application on 16.09.2020, but still the website is prompting for application fee.

Its published on website that if candidate is submitting application by 16.09.2020, applicant's application fee will be waived.

yeah I had received the same email notice about the fee waiver before I started the application on Sep 14. but I still was asked for application fee. My case is I still have not got GMAT to complete everything.
But you can confirm with the admission officer. I believe they sent you an email saying that they received your application and we can schedule a call with them should you have any questions.

Hi All. In the application form we are required to fill GPA in 4.0 scale. Any idea how to convert 10 point CGPA to 4 point scale. I went through an old post in GMAT club but did not find anything definitive. Tried the WES online calculator but they ask to fill score of each subject out of 100. Anyone who applied can shed light on this?

Hi. Use your net percent like 76.32 or 67 out of 100 and then convert it. That's what I did.
All the best!

Multiply your CGPA with 9?5 to convert to percentage and then use WES Converter to get it done.
