(B) . Assuming the integers are A and B(not 8).

Solved by quickly putting some values for A and B. Consider A = 5 and B = 15. A/B = 5/15 = 1/3 = 0.33, which is not an integer. Therefore, expression A/B doesn't belong to set M.

M is the set of positive and negative integers that are multiples of 5. M = ( ...... -15. -10. -5. 0. 5. 10. 15 ...... ). Integers A and 8 are members of set M. Which of the following expression is NOT a member of set M?

A. AB
B. A/B
C. A + B
D. A^2 + B^2
E. A - B

Let me answer this using the Substitution method:

Let A be 5 and B be -10

A. AB =5*-10 = -50 will come in the series
B. A/B =5/-10 = -0.5 will not come in the series
C. A + B =5+-10 = -5 will come in the series
D. A^2 + B^2 = 5^2+(-10)^2 = 125 will come in the series
E. A - B =5-(-10) = 15 will come in the series

Hence, OA: B
