Powerprep is the old version of the official practice tests, back when ETS administered the test. As of January 2006 Pearson Vue took over, and now the official tests are called GMATPrep.

I've tried the sample exams and Powerprep is much easier than GMATprep. Does that mean the tests are harder now?

Dunno how old your version of Powerprep is, but the GMAT always seems to be getting harder.

He's probably referring to the Kaplan "online" tests instead of the CDROM versions.

Truth is, Kaplan online tests (8) are very generous, typically inflating one's score by 50-60 points. I know this because I took their course last summer.

Hi All
i have started my preparation few weeks back and am planning to take full length tests now.

I think he is talking about 'Study Tools' not the tests.
