Scored 600 on veritas mock

First off, aimingwharton, let me say that a 600 on a Veritas test with no prep puts you in an upper tier among GMAT™ aspirants. With practice and further knowledge of the types of questions that are asked, the topics that are covered, you should be able to reach a 700+ in a month or so, I would think. Of course, you will have to be disciplined as well. Writing off Quant questions as easy will likely lead to making careless errors. Taking the time to get to the bottom of why you miss questions will help you get better at facing similar challenges.

If I am to take your namesake as a sign of intent, then you will likely want to score consistently in the 730+ range on official practice tests, especially the ones you have to pay for, 3-6, since the test has increased in difficulty since free tests 1 and 2 were released. It is not absolutely necessary to take these tests—I myself look to save money when I can—but they will give you a more reliable indication of where you would likely stand, were you to sit for the exam at present. The in-house Quant questions here on GMAT Club are excellent; you can find just about every official (retired) GMAT™ question under the sun on this site as well. I am adamant about centering GMAT™ prep on official questions, though, particularly on the Verbal portion of the test. You need to get used to the exact phrasing of questions and answer choices, as well as the passages themselves.

Depending on how you prefer to learn, you can check out print guides, watch video lessons, or take an in-person or online prep course to fast-track your test-readiness. Again, a 600 is a strong baseline, but it would be misguided to think that you will automatically progress to where you want to be scoring in no time at all, with little effort. If you need recommendations on specific books, courses, and so on, you know how to lean on the community.
