25 Sep is the notification deadline for round 4 admits. So after yesterday the total number of 21D climbed up to 610+, and I don’t feel a sentiment that many students are planning to defer. Sorry to share the bad news but I hope you can manage your expectations with this info. So letting your AO know that you’re also ok with later batches may help.

Is it usual to ask to be considered to later batches? Since I don’t have a final decision I won’t submit another application but due to the class occupation I think applying for September intake would give me higher chances =\

It is usual nowadays that admits defer to later batches. INSEAD is even offering later batches to some admits who applied to 21D.
I don't know how admission committee work, at least it seems to me that asking for later batches may give a higher chance, although some waitlisted students feedback that the school did not reply to their request of transferring to later batches.

Hi all,

I saw two admits from the waitlist for Jan 2021 in another forum. Anybody else here received an offer ?

Has anyone else heard anything? I'll probably write to them soon... I need to get some sort of an indication in a month since I have to give notice, etc. I'm open to reapplying next year

What happens if a person doesn’t get off the waitlist are they encouraged to reapply and make a whole new application or is that it

I was wondering about this too. I saw some previous comments saying re-applications are not encouraged...

I just got an offer at Singy - I had originally applied to Fonty.

This is not what I expected...

Edit: FYI I had applied in R1, and I had given them an update roughly every 1-2 months with respect to interactions with school through online events and alumni networking/ GMAT retakes/ work project successes/ extracurriculars.

Does anyone know what happens if you don’t get off the waitlist? Are you just denied or can you re apply for next year?

The school ended up declining my deferral request. I'll most likely end up withdrawing and reapplying.

Were you trying to defer to the sept 2021 or jan 2022 intake? I am guessing they didnt give a reason for declining. Strange decision though, considering the larger class size and pandemic, you would think they would give out more deferrals?

I've withdrawn my application - moving to Singapore didn't quite align with my goals.
