Does changing your name after gmat make it invalid [#permalink] New post  26 Sep 2020, 05:26
I have writen my GMAT exams and now I am planning on changing my name. Can i use the Gmat certificate even after i changed to a new name.?

I think GMAT Exam are linked with your name in the passport. If your changing your name in your passport, then probably there will be some consequences.

I think you should check with the university which you are applying. GMAC will give certificate on the basis of Passport and they will forward the same to the Universities which you wanted to apply. So, best option to contact the college administrator.

I guess you should also change your name on the passport. If the old passport and the new passport are linked somehow, then you will have proof but I advise you to check with the GMAC and concerned schools before doing that.

I agree with workout here. You need to have solid documents backing you. Also the second and important part 'CHECK WITH GMAC'.
