Answer will be (D) IMO.

From Statement 1 it can be seen that through the Number is 85 from the information given for the reversed number as the information is complete for the formation. As where 12 is the quotient, 7 is the divisor and 1 is remainder that number will be 12*7+1=85. So x will be 58.

From Statement 2, it can be seen that t=8. Can be used to find the value of x.

x = 'ab' =10a+b = 7t+2

Statement 1-

'ba' = 85; 'ab' = x = 58

Sufficient

Statement 2-

x= 7*8+2 = 58

Sufficient

A certain two-digit integer x when divided by another integer t yields a quotient of 7 with a remainder of 2. What is the value of x ?

(1) When the digits of x are reversed and the resulting number is divided by 7, the quotient is 12 with a remainder of 1.
(2) t = 8

x = two digit integer

\(x = 7t + 2\)

What is the value of x?

Lets start with statement 2:

(2) \(t = 8\)

Directly gives us our answer: \(x = 7(t) + 2\); SUFFICIENT.

(1) When the digits of x are reversed and the resulting number is divided by 7, the quotient is 12 with a remainder of 1.

\(12 * 7 + 1 = 85\)

\(x = 58\)

SUFFICIENT.

From this statement it is clear that the number is 58 (Sufficient)

(2) t = 8

From this statement it is clear that the number is 58 (Sufficient)
