\(A : E = 3 : 5\) ; \(E : N = 3 : 5\)

Now, \(A : E : N = 9 : 15 : 25\)

Thus, \(A : N = 9 : 25\), Answer must be (C)

Since we are asked to find the ratio of the ages of Anna and Nicholas (The 1st and 3rd elements), we do not need to standardize the ratios.

Multiplying he ratios is Sufficient. \(\frac{A}{E} * \frac{E}{N} = \frac{A}{N} = \frac{3}{5} * \frac{3}{5} = \frac{9}{25}\)
