Calling all MIT Sloan MBA Applicants: 2021 Intake (Class of 2023)

Hi fellow GMATClub members,

I recently submitted my application for the Sloan MBA program - Round 1. While on the portal it says submitted, I never received any confirmation email (whereas I have received it from other schools I have applied to). I am just wondering if this is the same for everyone?

I took calculus in high school but I'm not sure what to write for the relevant coursework section on the MIT app?

1) Name of course
2) Name of institution
3) Course Number
4) Course level
5) Grade

Are the fields they are looking for. On my transcript it only says the name of the course AP: Mathematics - Calculus AB.

I am not sure what to write for the other fields. Should I include that I took Calculus at all?

MIT Sloan is going Live in MBA Spotlight in about 90 minutes of time at 9 AM Pacific. The session is planned for 50 minutes with a lot of live Q&A

Has anyone received an interview invite?

The mail from Sloan mentioned that interview decisions will be sent out by the end of October. If last year’s dates are anything to go by, we should probably wait till Oct 30 for the decision. Although some decisions were sent out on Oct 23 last year, most received it on the 30th.

Does everyone’s status still show “under review” ?

It's not the same for everyone. If they have a decision for you (Yes, No, or Waitlist) the status will read "Awaiting Decision". If they don't, it will read "Under Review." My take is that for competitive circles (India for example) they are probably still narrowing down the applications to the number they want to interview, hence the "Under Review"

Will come on Friday. At least that's the communication right now. They may release it a day or two early if they're done with the review, but seems unlikely right now. So yeah, Friday!
