Received Two Multi-Source Reasoning Question Sets on GMAT

Hello,

I recently took the GMAT at a testing center. My understanding is that the Integrated Reasoning section only includes one set of Multi-Source Reasoning questions (typically 3 questions for one multi-tab prompt). However, my IR section had TWO different sets of multi-source reasoning that were three questions each (6 questions out of 12 total in IR).

This led to me running out of time, as the multi-source reasoning questions typically take longer to complete than other IR question types. I scored a 6 on IR vs my score of 8 in my previous GMAT attempt (albeit lower overall score previously).

Is it an actual rule / guideline that the GMAT should only have one set of multi-source reasoning questions? Should I contact GMAC about this discrepancy?

I really do not want to re-take the entire exam since I scored a 760 overall. I’d just like to understand if this is a common occurrence for IR.
