Maybe that's why they are releasing them slowly. Because the decision deadline is 12th December. This means the interviews will go in at least till end of November. Maybe even first week of December. So it's going to be a long wait!

Yes I have marked in the application. DS deadlines are in Dec, haven’t applied there yet.

Yes, I think we can apply later, just sharing that they gave option to apply in R1 itself to get both results together. All the best for the invite, I'm in the same boat. May be dual degree applicants they will invite late :-P

Hi,

Is self-reported GRE score enough or do we need to report the official score from ETS website. I remember to have seen the instruction while applying that official report was needed only before matriculation, but memory is a bit blurry and hence wanted to confirm.
Also, is not sending official report interpreted as a sign of lack of interest in the school in any way? :P

It's grey. This is what their website says: "Self-reported scores are acceptable for the purposes of our application process, but applicants should also arrange for GMAC, ETS or Pearson VUE to send their official score report direct to the Darden Admissions office."

They do not specify when the applicant has to send the scores. I haven't asked them personally so I don't know. If anyone has, do let the others know.

Personally, I didn't want to risk it, so I just sent them the scores.

Darden allows you to self report the score, so just do it! Don't worry too much! No one judges you on that. You only need to have your score report sent directly from ETS once you matriculate.

I heard they have a very unique format where they give you 10-15 minutes to walk through your whole story from childhood till this point. They don't even look at your resume is what I understand. You can read about previous interview experiences here:

Hi, I got confirmation from DSI that I am rejected for the dual degree. Doesn't necessarily mean ding from Darden too but I have given up hope at this point :D

Thanks for your support. The final invite went on Oct 30 last year according to Clearadmit and the updates in Gmatclub as well. I guess too much competition among Indian candidates this year. Any idea if Darden deferred last year students to late start in Jan 2021 or to start with the next batch in Sep 2021?

Hey guys, I am R2 applicant of UVA Darden MBA. I see that there is a space for an essay in Family Information section of the application asking:

"Please elaborate on any of your above responses. Alternatively, you may use this opportunity to expand on hardships or unusual life circumstances that may help us understand the context of your opportunities, achievements and impact. (150 words maximum)"

Can anyone elaborate on whether this is optional/mandatory question and what the school expects to get from this essay?
