Hi all,
I have offers for MSBA/MSBAIM from Purdue, SMU Cox, UCI Paul and ASU with scholarships from all of them except Purdue(still waiting) . Any leads which one should I go for?
Hey! Have you thought about these dimensions of your target career path after the education?
1. Industry
2. Function
3. Role
Clarity on these three things will help you select the school. Proximity of the school to the industry you want to go into should be the top factor in your decision-making process because you will find that there are many alumni from the school that are already working in your target industry. These alumni will your biggest support when you will look for full-time job. Then, some schools have curriculum focused on specific industry or function. This will be another factor. Business Analytics can be applied to almost every industry and function. So, prioritization of some target combinations of industry and function will help you structure the offer selection. I won't be much worried about the scholarship because Business Analytics is a STEM degree that provides you 12+24 months in the US after education. Moreover, there is an ever-growing demand of Business Analytics professionals in the US. Even though I hadn't applied to MSBA programs I can try to help you have framework to reach a decision.
PS: I am deferred student to full-time MBA program at Kelley School of Business.
