Hi everyone!
After having performed quite poorly on my first attempt of the GMAT online exam, I was wondering whether it is possible to register for my second GMAT online exam in the morning of the day I want to take it. My plan is to take the exam at around 2:30 pm and when I once checked the registration page in the morning there were some free slots available for that time on the same day. However, I am not sure whether it is really possible to register for an appointment on such short notice or whether I need to register a couple of days in advance because of a minimum processing time. I would really appreciate if anyone could tell me if this is possible.
FYI: I know that it is generally sensible to work towards a certain deadline and to know the exam date some days or weeks in advance, but I feel like the main reason why I performed quite poorly on my first attempt was my lack of sleep, since I almost could not sleep at all both nights before the exam (I was quite stressed about the GMAT itself, but I was even more stressed about getting enough sleep... so I did not manage to sleep, of course
) and therefore, my ability to concentrate suffered a lot. In my last three practice exams, which I took under almost identical conditions to the real exam (same time, same place, no breaks between quant and verbal), I scored 760, 700 and 780, respectively. The second score was probably a lot worse than the others, because I was trying to take that practice exam with earplugs, but I could not really concentrate while hearing my heartbeat, so I have decided not to use them during the actual exam.
Anyway, in my first real attempt of the GMAT online I scored 680, because I started guessing a lot due to my tiredness and lack in concentration. I feel like it might be a very good idea for me to prepare myself for taking the exam again in February and to register for an appointment on short notice whenever I feel like I have slept long enough and I am well rested, because my target score is at least 720.
