On a side note- i created 2 firms in the mining and mineral line, using my skills and knowledge to grab a solid opportunity, (wanted to strategically use funds, selling one business at a good profit and utilizing that to run my other firm and making it a export oriented unit, this sale freed up my investment and helped my family come out of a tough financial condition). The important part of this venture was to make it a self sustaining source of incomenfor my family and form a partnership with the right kind of people having excellent business management skills and good hold at a local level. Hopefully everything till now went as planned.

jeetsethi09,
To commence your profile evaluation, I would say that your academic background is quite strong. Your GPA of 6.5/7 not only displays your academic prowess but also opens a lot of opportunities and doors to top business schools for you. Moreover, HR College of Commerce is a very prestigious school, and its brand name aids in strengthening your profile as Cornell tends to favor candidates from top schools of each country. As for your GRE, a score of 330 is pretty impressive and allows you to comfortably target top b-schools, including Cornell.
Moving on to your professional front if we talk about your full-time work during college it will still be considered an internship. Besides that, you have got a decent amount of work experience post your graduation. You haven’t mentioned the company name, but in case it’s not a global brand, you would be required to focus on the kind of roles you have undertaken, the projects you undertook, and the positive impact you were able to create during your stint. Also effectively showcasing your leadership skills in various endeavours can help you establish in the minds of the admission's committee that you are no less than your competition who would most likely be Big 4 candidates. Additionally, your entrepreneurial initiatives, while pretty impressive, goes on to vouch for your ability to go beyond your role, take on challenges and more importantly be an impactful leader.
Extracurricular activities are a way to showcase your proactive attitude and how you have emulated the theoretical knowledge you gained in classes and created a positive impact by utilizing them in real-life situations. Evaluating your extra-curricular activities, I’d say you have varied endeavors on this end, which portrays your proactive attitude and a balanced profile. Being a head of NSS during your undergrad and your continued endeavour directed towards creating a difference in the society portrays your strong leadership potential and highlights your capability to utilize your skills for the betterment of society and make a positive impact, traits that every b-school is on the lookout for.
All in all, you seem to have a well groomed profile and your chances of acceptance at Cornell stands at 50% given the competitive nature of the school. That said, in order to hedge your bets wisely, here are some school suggestions that you can look at in the dream and competitive category:
Dream: NYU, Berkeley, Wharton, MIT
Competitive: Duke, McCain, Michigan, UVA
In dream schools, your chances of acceptance are 50% whereas in competitive schools your chances of acceptance are 60-70%.
All things considered, you need to be mindful of the fact that you will be facing competition from equally good profiles. Hence, you need to complement your profile with a strong application. An application through its various components such as essays, LORs and SOPs would help you to highlight your strengths and give apt justifications for your weaknesses to smooth over any flaws in your profile. Moreover, the application acts as the window through which the admission committee can peer into your skills, calibre and your personality.
Thus, since the major chances of your admission depend on the quality of your application, you can thus check out our, All-in-One service - a comprehensive solution to all your application woes, to gain insights into how you can boost your chances of acceptance by a minimum of 3x!
