IMO answer is option C

We have to find is -y>y or y<-y or y+y= 2y<0?
or we have to find the sign of y

State 1 : y<x-z
y could be 0 , +ve or -ve . No definite answer

State 2 : x<z , nothing about y . SO insuff

When we combine both ,
x-z>y and z>x

lets plugin values, z=5 , x=3 so, 3-5>y and -2>y that means y is -ve and with a larger magnitude than -2.
therefore, from the quesion, 2*y <0 or 2*-y <0 . we have a definite No with C .

we have no idea about X and Z so we can not say anything about Y
Insufficient

Statement 2

Again we have no idea about Y
Insufficient

Combining 1 and 2
z > x
0>Z-X , Z - X is less than zero
We can say that Y is less than 0
and since Y is less than 0 we can conclude that -Y>Y

We know nothing about x and z. Insufficient.

(2) z > x
Doesn't help reach an answer. Insufficient.

Combining 1 & 2
z>x this imples that x-z is always negative
Because y<x-z, y is always negative

And, negative of a negative number is positive, ie
-(-y)>-y
