Hey
annie1995! There are two fundraisers I am part of that are raising money directly and accept foreign donations as well! Please find their details below. Feel free to reply or PM me in case you have any questions! Thank you so much for stepping up in the time on need. We really appreciate it!
Option A. Fundraiser by CBS Admits with 1:1 donation matching:Hi everyone! The CBS Class of 2023 is launching a fundraiser to combat the COVID-19 crisis ravaging India. The second wave has taken over India (home of 1/6th of the world’s population) and rapidly escalated into a devastating crisis. The health infrastructure has crumbled under the sudden surge with critical shortages in ICU beds, medical oxygen, ventilators and other medicines. In the week ending on May 9, India reported 2.7 million new cases and >27,000 deaths, numbers that may not even reflect the true count.
CBS ’23 has partnered with the Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF), based out of Pune, Maharashtra, to raise funds and provide relief to the COVID-19 crisis in India. Your donation, however small or big, can go a long way in providing support through the ability to purchase ventilators, O2 concentrators, PPE kits and other essential supplies.
We are targeting to raise $6000 through admitted students and our extended networks. All your donations will also be 1:1 matched by MMF’s corporate partner. Donate now at:
https://bit.ly/CBS2023ForIndiaWe understand some of you may not be in a position to make a monetary donation at the moment, but would greatly appreciate your support as changemakers by:
* Educating yourself and others on the current situation in India (see Slack appeal for an overview of the current crisis)
* Amplifying our efforts with your networks to help us meet our fundraising target
Please join us so we can #fightbackwithkindness!
Option B. Fundraiser by Students Fight COVID, a Pay It Forward Initiative by admits and alumni of top business schools:Hi everyone! We have decided to run a parallel fundraising campaign to tap into the people who want to donate without availing the mentoring services.
We are running a campaign for Swasth Foundation (verified by us), a non-profit working tirelessly on-ground to provide relief efforts by procuring oxygen concentrators and channelling them to hospitals in remote areas. These oxygen concentrators can bolster the much-needed resources for hospitals, treat outpatients and save thousands of lives. Your contribution can make a huge difference.
Our community needs all the support they can get urgently. We request you to donate and urge your friends and family to do so. @Bhumika Batra will share a message shortly that you can copy paste in your personal https://gmatclub.com/chat network.
