Hi All,

Do you think it's good to apply in the last round for August 2021? Or is it better to apply in the spring 2022 for an international student?

Hi Everyone, needed your valuable input. What are the kind of questions asked in the interview round ? are they technical questions or general questions. If you could share your stories or example of questions asked. I am planning to apply for 2022 intake so your help would mean a lot. Thank you !!

Srishtidiwan - please go through interview debriefs posted for CBS

columbia-190/interview_debrief.html

CBS interviews are very straightforward. Usually a 2nd year or Alumni will interview you. They’ll only have your resume and a set of questions given by the school that they have to cover

Some Alumni may not stick to the script, but most do

karantalchi - I’d say look for people who started CBS in January based on the timing of their work experience

karantalchi

From the decision tracker, you can see some admits for the J-Term. You can reach out to them as well. Did you do that already?

There’s no right or wrong GRE score. It totally depends on your profile. My recommendation would be to figure out your target GMAT score based on other similar profiles that got into CBS. Once you find that, use the ETS GMAT to GRE converter to an equivalent GRE score. Lastly, add 1 or 2 points to this GRE score. This will be your target GRE score!

Schools say that they treat both GMAT and GRE the same, but there have been cases where I have seen otherwise. GMAT does get a very slight advantage because it helps the school with their ranking. Hence, my recommendation of adding 1 or 2 points extra

For example. If your target GMAT is 740, that converts to GRE of ~329. So, have a target of 330 or 331. Hope this helps!
