nishant123454321 hi,
Shimri from ARINGO here

SO, your profile is great. I love FMCG candidates - admissions find it easy to understand their story and why they need an MBA

your academics, extracurricular activities and work experience are all great!
your key problem is the GMAT.
you will have a tough time getting into LBS or ISB 9and probably HEC) with your 690 (as you are an Indian male, which is an over-represented candidate pool, the GMAT average tends to be higher)

what I suggest you do?
or take the GMAT again
or go for the German Schools (add ESMT) or other (Rotterdam? Boccono? IE Madrid) which have a bit lower GMAT averages,...

happy to help further with a detailed review and perhaps work together on some amazing apps if you send me your CV and any other info to Shimriw@ARINGO.com

GOOD LUCK!

Post-MBA goals: Want to go for a career change and get into a consulting firm

Questions:-
I left my job in august 2020. I want to apply for MIM programs. But my concern is that MIM programs require 0-2 years of work experience. So how practical are my chances of getting a call?
Also what all things can I do so that it doesn’t show as a gap year in my profile?

I think you are "too old" for MIM programs
you have 4 years of experience, and they typically look for recent graduates with less than 2 years of experience, so I would not head that way
So, unless I don't understand your profile, you should go fo rother Masters / MBA programs

how can you overcome a gap - a tough question. you can say you were working on a startup, that you studied to the GMAT etc.
GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for sharing your profile and MBA aspirations
My name is Shimri Winters, I head the strategy team here at ARINGO

You have a very interesting profile! Why are you considering waiting for 2023/2024? You should apply this year before you are “too old” 😊

Academics – great undergraduate. Did you take the CFA or other accountant certifications?

GMAT - Well, 760 is great, doesn’t get much better than this!

Extracurricular activities – I love both your hobbies and very happy to see you have some volunteering too?

Work Experience – nice career progress, nice brands (Deloitte especially) GREAT!

School wish list – your profile fits both top 20 US schools or any top 5 UK school. I suggest going for both and seeing where you get into (and with a scholarship)

All in all, sounds like you have a solid profile! Happy to help further with a detailed review and perhaps work together on some amazing apps if you send me your CV and any other info to Shimriw@ARINGO.com

Hi PaU1i,

Thanks for sharing your profile and MBA aspirations.

My name is Priyanka, Client Manager at ARINGO.

You have a very interesting profile! From what I can see:

Academics – Yes, a GMAT of 740+ will help you to compensate for your bachelor's percentage.😊

Work Experience –Your experience is really good. You have worked with a start-up, Big 4 consulting, and investment bank with notable achievements everywhere. Having an international experience is another advantage. We would also love to know more about your Software Development Company.

Extracurricular activities/Volunteer Work – Multiple certifications are a good example of continuous learning. Tell us more about your hobbies & interests. Worked with NGO for 1 year- Again a good talking point! Coming from a humble background and being self-dependent at an early age will also give another dimension to your story.

Your career goals & School List - Haas, NYU Tech MBA, Cornell Tech MBA. You have a strong profile for the mentioned schools and your career goals look fine as this is a logical extension of what you are doing presently but will be able to give more insights once you share your CV.

All in all, sounds like you have a good profile! If you send me your CV and other info on PRIYANKAK@ARINGO.com, I would love to connect you with our CEO who will be happy to help further with a detailed review and perhaps work together on some amazing apps.

All the best. :)

Hi Pankaj121096,

Thanks for sharing further details. My name is Priyanka, Client Manager at ARINGO.

Having 3 promotions is good and shows your excellence at work. For international experience, in case you have worked with international clients/projects/teams-that also counts (in case not, it is still alright 😊). You have a good case in the mentioned school list.

I am a first generation entrepreneur with 8-9years of entrepreneurial experience. I commenced my business with limited funds and faced a lot of struggles, along the way.
However, with a lot of passion for my work and strong work ethics I am successfully running a pvt ltd company which deals in agro chemicals and Agrofood processing.
Our main clients include Hershey’s India Private Ltd, which is a 100% subsidiary of The Hershey Company based out of Hershey Pennsylvania USA , ITC Limited an Indian multinational conglomerate company, NTPC India’s largest power generation company.
Since, I have built my company from nothing and have faced tremendous hardships due to my humble background and beginnings. I have been closely involved in operating a society of agriculture based entrepreneurs and farmers, where our main focus is on enhancing the productivity, and connecting rural farmers directly with the industries and supporting them to get fair prices for their produce along with other farm to factory activities.
Along with this, I am now exploring under developed countries (African countries) for upliftment of farmers through organic certified crop export and help them get fair price for their produce.
I have personally been involved in encouraging entrepreneurs with mentorship and initial monetary requirements, to start their own initiatives. So that we can create a sustainable community of like minded people who have deep routed principals
In my school I was a member of the National Cadet Core which is a youth wing of the armed forces and is aimed at grooming the youth of the country into being responsible and disciplined citizens.
I have completed Bachelors of Pharmacy from Rajiv Gandhi Technical University Bhopal India,NAAC grade is A .
( Does Undergrade college matter? How to overcome this if it does? )
I have successfully completed a certificate program on Quality control study of drugs and chemicals which is offered by the Ministry of science and technology government of India.
I am currently residing in India. I scored 65.3% in my undergrad(Bachelors of Pharmacy) which is a science subject, and our college topper scored 79% and 50% is minimum passing marks. (worried if this would fall under low GPA, how to over come this? )
My GMAT score is 760(online).
I am planning for certifications courses such as hbs core, Berkeley maths for management. (would these course uplift my chances or instead any other course or certificate or diploma program from local cl

Why MBA?
I have gone had many corporate experiences and managed my startup over the years, but I learned everything in a try and error manner. Now I want to take a step back and use the MBA program to gain skills(management, strategy, marketing) in an academic setting.

Short Term Goal: To become a product manager in an AgriTech startup.
Long Term Goal: Social Entrepreneurship in AgriTech industry
Born in farmer’s family and being a tech person myself, I knew that in India and many other , farmers don’t have technology, data and advanced tools to make better decisions and ease the agriculture processes. My goal is to transform the agriculture industry through technology and improve farmer’s lives

Target Schools: M7, Haas, Yale, Duke Fuqua, Tuck, Ross, Said, Judge, NYU Stern, Insead, HEC Paris, ISB, Babson

Questions-
1. which college and program should i go for which will help me achieve my long-term goal(Entrepreneurship in AgriTech) ?
Any other colleges you want to suggest?
2. how can i highlight my strengths – Leadership, Community involvement and what do you find weakness in my profile? Suggestions you want to give to improve my profile/CV?
3. do you find my personal story strong and compelling enough?
4. I want to join AgriTech startup soon after my MBA and pursue my entrepreneurship career later down the line in AgriTech itself.
I am not sure if school will find ’join AgriTech soon after MBA suitable (because generally tech company comes into campus but not specifically tech company that works in agriculture sector) or Shall I still present this as my short term goal in my SOP? If so, how do I make sure it doesn’t look odd in the face of the AdComs.
