I heard rumors about a kid when I was in college. He hacked the school system. And the rumor was that he could have changed his grades but he didn't. And the college administration decided to make him responsible from the IT of the school.
Well, the interesting thing is, I met him in person a couple of weeks ago - 6 years after graduating from college. He said that yes, there was hacking involved, but that was nowhere close to having access to the transcripts. So, sorry folks, you should go back to the second option - take some additional courses and build your alternative transcript :)

My GPA isn't terribly low, but I do regret having a couple low grades while in college.
