Hello Everyone,
I am a 31-year-old Indian Male working in Singapore in Research and Development domain for clean energy and EV domain. I have a total of 7.5 years of work experience including 4 years of manufacturing in India and 3.5 years of R & D in Singapore. I am looking forward to a full-time MBA in upcoming sessions.
R & D -- Energy Research Institute ntu -- 3.5 Years
Academics -- Bachelors of Technology from SRM University India in EEE. Scored (8.24/10).
Master of Science from NTU. Scored (3.25/5).
Post-MBA domain -- Either Moving in clean energy consulting or business development unit in MBB or Moving in FAANG. -
these are diverse paths. I'll suggest you spend some time on self-reflection and decide what path you are most interested and equipped to pursue.
The MBA will be a vehicle to accelerate your path, but it's helpful to have a clear view of your aspirations before applying and enrolling. Based on your background, clean energy consulting seems logical. My target school are as follows:-
Singapore -- *INSEAD
* -- On the INSEAD website, it is mention that recommended score for INSEAD is 6/8 in IR. However, I had got 4/8 and also in AWA as 4/6. My question is do I have a red flag on my application due to this. (Kindly, folks guide me into this matter)(Very much having anxiety on this point).
It looks like you've taken the GMAT multiple times - is that accurate? If so, did you score better on other tests? If so, include those scores. Beyond the test scores, can you demonstrate your IR and AWA capabilities in other ways? I'd imagine your research in clean energy and EV has required considerable IR skills. Have you written peer-reviewed papers, or other documents to demonstrate your AWA skills? You can reference these in your application to showcase your responsibilities. Lastly, consider asking a recommender to focus their recommendation in these areas.UK -- LBS / Judge / Said
(Kindly, folks suggest which one would be much better for me according to my profile.)
So many factors go into recommending a school that "fits", so I encourage you to do the research (yes, it takes time, but I promise it's worth it). Use these resources - How to Find the Best Business Schools for You and 21 Questions to Ask Students and Alumni While Researching MBA Programs. For these programs in particular, if you do decide to stay in clean energy, LBS' Energy and Environment clubis very active and Judge offers a concentration in "Energy and the Environment"USA -- Sloan School of Managment / Ross Business School / UCLA / CMU / Chicago Booth / Wharton / Tepper / Stanford / Harvard / CBS.
India -- ISB.
Also, give comments for chances of getting scholarships.
I'm always hesitant to give chances, however there are some things you can do to help. For example, This blog post has strong guidance. Also, check out
LBS' page with scholarship opportunities. There's one ("London Business School Energy Scholarship") that is specific to the energy space and offers 50% scholarship.
Would be much appreciated for getting guidance on the same.
