Experiences with Executive Assessment - Post Your EA Experience Here

Thank you all that have posted in this thread. I have used it for inspiration and encouragement.

I studied for 7 weeks (the final week was a coasting / final tune-up week). My goal was to score 155 or higher. I was going to do the online test as it is during a pandemic. I used the official EA prep from GMAC (full package) and the "GMAT Official Guide 2021". I did the first practice exam without any practice (20 years since University). 151. I studied for 2 weeks. Did the second practice exam. 152. What?!? No real improvement? I spent the next 4 weeks studying with Dominate Test Prep. Third week with Dominate I did my third practice exam. 158. The fourth week with Dominate I did my fourth practice exam. 156. I was ready. I booked my exam for one from that date.

On the actual exam I felt the IR section was the most difficult I had ever done... by a long shot. I thought I had failed it. I also thought the rest of the exam was too easy. Almost like I had done so poorly on IR that I was getting easy questions. It took 3.5 business days to receive my results. I received an e-mail stating that the results were available. I was completely shocked when I read my results.

Official on-line test: 161 (15 IR / 12 VR / 14 QR)

Practice test 1: 151 (11 IR / 9 VR / 11 QR)
Practice test 2: 152 (11 IR / 11 VR / 10 QR)
Practice test 3: 158 (14 IR / 11 VR / 13 QR)
Practice test 4: 156 (12 IR / 11 VR / 13 QR)

Some final notes: My last two study weeks were spent doing some study, but also learning not to speak to myself or touch my face when thinking. I also used the time to get my body used to not drinking water, walking around or using the washroom between 9:30 am and noon (approximate test time plus check-in). I have a BSc (Computer Engineering) from a great University in Canada, with a completely average GPA, which is why my target school wanted me to take the Executive Assessment.
