The question that we should ask ourselves is "What really are the Rotman values? " "What are they looking for?"
Now, we know our spike factors could be anything that demonstrate Passion, Grit, Resilience, Innovation, Drive, Ambition, or even Empathy. As long as your spike factor(s) is/are around these keywords broadly, you are already aligned with Rotman values. So if your word limit allows you, you can explicitly mention how Rotman values the traits that you have but you don't have to spend too many words on it.

The essay prompt says
Explain your spike factor (something unique about yourself) that you believe will contribute to the Rotman community and is aligned with Rotman values. (up to 1000 words)
It is well understood that spike factors are to be aligned with Rotman values, but that doesn't require any sort explicit mention of Rotman.
but about the contribution part
Do the adcoms expect me to explicitly mention how the spike factors/my experiences are going to contribute to Rotman community, or
Do they expect that I just show my personal experiences and anecdotes without a mention of Rotman directly.
