Hi.

I am a 21 year old female from India. Targeting Top B-Schools for MIM

I am a commerce graduate from Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi (Ranked in Top 20 colleges in India). I am currently working in a start up.

College GPA - 7.9
GMAT score - 700 (V40/Q47)
12th - 95.2%
10th - 91.2%

I have done a few internships -
1. A finance internship for 2 months at a top wealth management company

2. An accounting internship for a month at a privately owned company.

3. A business development internship for a month at a start up

I have also held a leadership position at an NGO for 2 years. I was an active member of 2 college societies.
Also co-authored a research paper in a college program.

Do I have a shot at top universities? Which universities should I be targeting?

Overall, nice profile! Appreciate the post.

You will have a shot at some good programs. Not sure if you are looking at the US, but here a few MIM programs you should consider:

University of Michigan (Ross)
University of Southern California (Marshall)
University of California Los Angeles (Anderson)
Cornell University (Johnson)

Depending on your timeline, you might want to consider retaking the GMAT. A 700 is a great score but a few additional points could go a long way in your profile.

Hey guys, so i am a bit skeptical about the strength on my profile. Please check and it would be really helpful if you could suggest:
1) Female, 21 years, commerce graduate from University of delhi ( business economics major)
2) Topper in my class(college batch) (9.79 GPA)
3) 91.75% in 12th
4) 10 CGPA in 10th
5) 690 GMAT
6) President of ENACTUS in my college
7) Done internships in content writing, operations (with startup) and Human resource.
8) District level dancer, district level debating.
9) German language (B1) level.
10) Course from yale university, university of colorado (online)
11) currently working on my startup
12) published essay in magazine
13) worked with renowned NGOs.
14) participated in MUNs
15) cleared ISB YLP round 1

Applying to: ESCP, LBS, WHU, ESMT, Mannheim, ESSEC, ISB(YLP)

Appreciate the post!

You have a great profile. It's nice to see the extent of your extracurricular involvement at school.

I think you will have a shot at some of these MiM programs. My biggest concern is your GMAT score. While the MiM testing threshold is not as high as that for the MBA programs, you're coming from a competitive background. Would you consider a retake? Even doing 10 points better would go a long way.

Otherwise, make sure you write really good essays and showcase your leadership skills adequately in your application to maximize your chances.

So 690 score isnt even good for escp or whu?

It should be fine. I'm commenting more generally based on the collective list. You have nothing to lose by retaking the exam as most of these programs tend to take the highest score. If you don't have the time or the money for a second sitting, don't worry. A 690 is a great score and will still make you competitive.
