I don't have any admits yet but I am already thinking of how I should resign. Part of me is thinking about working even harder so that they will miss me that much more. But seriously...
Rhyme what are your deposit deadlines? I think it souds like you are 90% decided already tho... you seem totally stress free.
End of March. I'm
sort-of stress free. I waffle back and forth between Kellogg and Chicago and wonder how long I'm willing to wait on Kellogg and how long I'm not. Part of me feels that Kellogg is the better fit for me, and part of me feels that I'm splitting hairs.
I go back and forth as to what I would do if Kellogg accepted me and at what point I'm ready to "throw in the towel" and move on with the GSB. Part of me feels like I'm ready to go to the GSB - part of me feels like I should wait out Kellogg because maybe its the better choice for me.
Kellogg will be less demanding academically. For someone with my relatively weak academic history, this is a plus.
GSB has MUCH better facilities. MUCH.
Kellogg does not let PT recruit with FT (without written permission from their firms). GSB does (which means more competition for a job)
Kellogg is more team focused (which I like). GSB seems to have more traditional midterm/final exam setups (which I dislike)
GSB is likely better academically - in terms of pure learning
Kellogg is not as quantatative. GSB is, and it scares me
Kelloggs brand recognition in Europe is slightly less than GSB
I'm not interested in IB - so the GSBs core strenghts do not play to my favour, while Kellogg's broader General Management curriculum does, however this also means less competition for hte kinds of jobs I want at the GSB than I would have at Kellogg.
Kellogg discloses grades, GSB does not disclose grades which is a plus
I'm not a fan of Kellogg's "ambercrombie and fitch" feel
GSB is very "new" to me, theres an element of excitement and risk
Kellogg feels a little less "new" because I already know the school so well
I have no faculty connections at the GSB
I have faculty connections at Kellogg (could be beneficial for my job hunt?)
I lack alumni connections from Kellogg
I have alumni connections from the GSB
I have friends at Kellogg
I do not have friends at the GSB
GSB is better ranked (for now)
Kellogg has better recruiting scores (A+ vs A)
Kellogg has slightly higher starting salaries (by $5,000)
GSB's flexible curriculum is pretty darn cool
Kellogg's curriculum is comparitively speaking far less flexible
