How is everyone paying for the program? self or company sponsored? Does anyone have info on how the deans fellows is decided and how much that looks like?

Probably a combination of self and company sponsored, hoping for a fellowship of some amount as well although that may be wishful thinking 😂.
All I can find on the MIT site is that the fellowships are allocated on “merit”. Some specific fellowships have specific criteria (ie student of a certain country or with a certain career objective) but nothing more detailed than that.

It was written in application yhat Dean fellowship will be given to every admitted non-sponsored student.

I am non-sponsored prospective student. :P

Are you sure? I thought (from memory) that it said that all non-sponsored students would automatically be *considered* for a fellowship. I don’t think there was any guarantee of success….

If it’s in relation to GPA comparison, they said no, definitely not. AdCom will do their own calculations to compare to the USA system as required.
If in relation to something else like accrediting coursework or something, I don’t know, but I suspect not, unless you have a highly unusual case.

I hadn’t heard that. So every self sponsored student receives a fellowship?

And interviews will be notified by Thursday?

I guess we are down to the wire for the first stage.

I really expected more applicants in the forum. It’s really quiet!

No that’s not the case, there’s a limited number. You are automatically considered for a fellowship but in the last Q&A they said there is not that much funding available.

I must have missed the 21st as the day. Where was this info posted? Is everyone notified on this day or just the start of the process that could go through next week? Phone or email or portal?


I had seen it in last years forum as the 21st last year which was a Friday.
