Hi everyone, I applied to R2. Do you know if the interview decision and the final decision are communicated on the exact date provided by IESE website (24 January& 18 March) or can we expect and answer before then?

Do you guys know what is the GRE average for IESE?

Hi. Based on my R1 experience, interview results are communicated on the date mentioned in the website, while final decision can be communicated earlier over phone (around 7-10 days earlier) if you need the decision earlier (you’ll need to communicate your requirement to the AdCom). Hope this helps.

How many applications do you guys reckon IESE gets per round? I read somewhere it’s a 25% acceptance rate. So if it’s 350 per year, that implies they receive 1400 applications. Am I wrong?

R1 and R2 would probably make up most of that. Let’s say 75% of total apps. So that’s 1050 combined. Split evenly 525 per round.

Could layer on geographical and industry splits from there. In my case, I care about North America and Consulting. North America is 20% of the class and Consulting is 13%. Assuming those are representative of the applicant pool (which might not be a fair assumption) that’s 105 North Americans in R2. If we assume the 13% Consulting figure holds true for North Americans too (big assumption), thats 10-15 North American Consultants in R2.

I have a 680, 4.5/5 (A, honors) and some experience. Are my chances good?

Average GMAT is around 680. It’s hard to say. Depends on the quality of you work experience, international exposure, extracurriculars, etc.

690 is last year’s average.
