Yogesh,

What other schools are you comparing it with (do you have a benchmark you want to hold NUS against?)

yogesh,

purely IMO - I think ISB, Duke, Darden, Emory and CMU are all better than NUS. I don't know enough about Krannert and Fischer (Ohio?).

Look at its students profile. Their average and median age is 26. Don't you find it too young? I mean you won't find strong alumni with lots of experience. Probably you'll even see some top fresh graduates there.

Asia's top MBA is in Shanghai, the China European International Business School, taught in English. IMO, CMU is definitely better than NUS. Duke is better most likely. I haven't heard of the others. Singapore is well-known for the location and business-friendly environment, but in terms of academics, it is just above average. You should consider schools in US and Europe more.

I have recently got an admission from this university. My GMAT IS 680 (Q47, V36).
As I have observed from their yahoo groups the main pool of applicants are Indians with almost same background. The diversity and international exposure of the school is really low.
Last year their GMAT average was 653.

I don't know about ISB and I assume Emroy = Emory. All the schools (except ISB, which I don't know), are much
better. Darden is actually waaaaay better.
As for me - I'm Indian and I work in the US. I have a Masters degree from Purdue. Krannert is Purdue, by the way.

Re: NUS Singapore [#permalink]
NUS is definitely not in the same league as Darden. Darden is now on of the elite business schools in the US - say one tier below your ultra-elites.

The NUS-Duke partnership is in medicine I believe, not the b-school.

Having said that, NUS is a strong business school and if you're looking for decent employment opportunities in the region and an expected starting salary of, say, $60-90k (USD not SGD) is acceptable to you, go for it. Note of course that taxes are low (12% or so) in Singapore so while your total salary may not be huge, disposable incomes are decent.
