Hello, please evaluate my profile for ISB. I will be taking GMAT on 6th of October and aim to apply for Round 2
Background: 8 months of work experience at Qualcomm as an Associate Engineer. I worked with the Qualcomm US team on projects related to 5G and IOT.
Thereafter, I have a 2 year gap due to UPSC preparations where I could reach up to the interview round.
Currently, I have a 4 year government job experience as an Assistant Manager at General Insurance Corporation of India (India's national reinsurer and 13th largest reinsurer in the world). My work is related to Engineering and Property Claims handling where I work with clients from Australia, Japan and North America. I am currently guiding 2 new hires in my team.
Graduation (B. Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engg.)- 8.84/10(NITK Surathkal)
12th Standard - 93.80%
10th standard- 96%
Extracurriculars : I have 2 published novels, one of which did fairly well. I have earlier received scholarships from Government of India and TATA.
What score should I aim & What are my chances? Suggestions if any will be appreciated. Would it be prudent to apply outside India considering my profile?

Hi shreyanshankit,

You have a wonderful profile! Exposure of 5G and IOT in private sector and government experience in insurance sector. Academics are brilliant. And a published novel is like icing on the cake!!

Get anything above 690 in GMAT and justify your UPSC gap well in essays and interviews, and you will be through, without an iota of doubt!

You can apply outside if you wish to work outside.

Best wishes.

12th Boards : 83.33 %
10th Boards : 91 %
Currently working with Dell Technologies as a Software Engineer 2 for the Global Ecommerce Project ( Dell Premium )
Preceding that , I was working with Mindtree Limited ( Part of L & T Group ) for 3.9 years as Full Stack Engineer. As Mindtree is a service based company, I was working with American Express Global Business Travel (AEGBT). I worked on the Travel domain for all the regions like APAC, EMEA and America for their online corporate travel booking System and invoicing System.
I also have been an active part and volunteer of National Service Scheme during College days and I have also been an active participant in college dance, badminton and debate group.
What score should I aim for and what are my chances?
Would it be a profile which I can go with for applications outside India?

Hello @sandip2295/Anudeep18,

Would it be possible if the selection process for ISB be shared and interview experience as well?
