That's exactly what I was trying to say Kidderek. :)

Lepium, the great thing about the tournament is that schools from various conferences the country get to go at it. Small schools that lack the talent to hang with the big teams sometimes pull upsets because of experience and clutch play. And then you get some powerhouses that don't normally meet during the regular season meeting on a neutral court.

Plus, since it's a college environment, the fans are especially wild and enthusiastic and affinities are strong. Truly the best time of the year.

hells, yeah! You gotta love march madness. Except that it happens right in the middle of tax season. Regardless, there's nothing hotter on the court.

It was a very strange first day - actually, it was unusual because of the lack of strangeness. Duke was the only upset of the first day. Aside from the 8 v. 9 match ups, all of the top seeds won by at least 9 points. I really can't recall a day in recent memory where the seedings held so close to form. This was especially surprising because there was supposed to be so much parity throughout the nation this year. We had the most 20 win teams ever around the country (108 or something v. a previous high of 78), and a bunch of teams at the top of the rankings that had all demonstrated weakness during the year.

Other than Duke, who a lot of people believed were over-seeded and benefited from past reputation (including me!), all the other higher seeds held. That probably means that we're in for a ton of upsets today.

As for today, I think it is going to stick with the trend yesterday. Not many upsets, I only see two. Ga Tech over UNLV and Arkansas over USC. This year I think that a majority of the upsets are going to take place in the later round. Because, even though there were a huge amount of 20+ win teams the disparity in talent was huge. The good teams were good and the other teams making the tourney not so much. So, I think this weekend (Sat and Sun.) and the following week's games will be great and upset filled.

I hope nobody picked Wisconsin to go all the way . That would really mess up your bracket.

I think the way our tourney is set-up, with more points being awarded for later rounds, the person that picks the most final-four teams will probably win. I know, this sounds obvious, but it would be much different if all rounds were weighted equally.

So, given the above theory, the games coming up this weekend will make all the difference.

The tens of millions he will make in the upcoming years will ease his pain.
