Hi guys, I’m Yash Arora. I’ll be applying to Schulich for 2023 September Intake.
I have a little over 2 years of work experience, I’m currently in a associate product management role at a fintech startup, I want to switch to sustainability and decarbonisation industry.
I personally made this choice since it is a highly rated program for sustainability and also provides a specialization as well as a diploma in the same.
Apart from this, it is very well suited for folks interested in marketing and finance.

Free GMAT Club Tests on Sat & Sun Jul 16-17 for GMAT World Cup Team-members --

Sat and Sun will be Free GMAT Club Test Access days for the members of the GMAT Club World Cup teams. If you are a part of the competition, you will be able to take unlimited tests, practice sets, and questions on Sat and Sunday, July 16-17, 2022. You must be signed up on any of the teams by Friday. Access will be open starting Saturday morning at 0:01 AM PST / 12:31 PM IST.

desertEagle there’s no official deadline released yet on website, but this is what I learnt from one of the sessions that I attended last week.

Hey guys,
I am bit confused here. Would appreciate some clarification.
It seems the MBA program that Schulic offers is of 16 months. Can some please clarify what would the work permit period that one will get after completing this course?
Also, does Schulic has a 2 year program? I believe you get a 3 year work permit if your course duration is of 2 gears

Hi souvik19, all students at Keele Campus do get PGWP, but as far as I know, it can be either 3 years or 1 year. Not sure about the criteria for this. Nikhil can you confirm if you know or you know somebody who knows?

Hi yasharoraa I believe the tenure of the PGWP depends on your course duration

If your course is of at least 2 years, you get a 3 year PGWP. If your course duration is less than 2 years your PGWP tenure will be equal to your course’s duration. So lets say if you enroll into a 16 month MBA, you will get 16 month PGWP.

And this is exactly why I am worried. I am not sure if the 16 month PGWP will be enough recover your MBA cost before you move back to your home country, or if you want to get PR

I sent out a mail and I’ve gotten the response as such “ The MBA Program at Schulich is for 16 months. It consists of 4 terms or 4 months each. You can either complete the program in 16 months or take a four-month break in between for your internship and complete the program in 20 months. The program is adaptable to your post-MBA ambitions.

In the past, students who completed the MBA program were eligible for a three-year work permit. However, this is subjected to the Government of Canada’s immigration policy.”

So assuming there’s no change from the Government of Canada, work permit will be for 3 years. Hope this helps you souvik19 😊

I am very skeptic about this. The immigration policy clearly states that if the program’s duration is less than 2 years than your PGWPs tenure will be same as the program’s duration. So I believe in that case you will get a 20 month pgwp at max.
