Hi. This is unusual. We usually have many people with connection issues or with closing browser/etc and we have an easy system to resume a test. I will have to check to make sure it works with IR. However, for your issue in particular, I would suggest this easy process:

Start a new test but skip the IR to save those questions for another test.
The way GMAT Club system works is that it uses a single pool of questions for all tests so if you started one and only took 1 question or 5 and you ended that test for some reason, it does not mean a test is ruined. Only 1 or 5 questions are used and likely enough for another test.

So my suggestion is to start a full test, put IR at the end and just skip it/end the test at the end. That way you won't be wasting and using up those questions in another test.

Archit3110 There's no obvious way of returning to the test. This happened in the middle of the test with a few minutes before IR ended. Again, there was still the Verbal and Quantitative sections to go afterwards.

I just tested refreshing the page and even closing it and abusing it as much as I could and the test is saved as unfinished and allows me to resume it.
There must have been something extraordinary that ended your test. It should not happen and I don't know how it did - I am sorry. I will ask developers to look into it.

Here is what I see/have and the "Play" button allows me to resume the test later when I come back to this page.

Ah, I don't have this 'play' button on my end (I would attach this as an image but I don't meet the 5 post requirement). Does seem quite unusual.

Quick note, just FYI - if you take a full test you can get the ESR.
If you take Quant/Verbal separately you won't be able to get an ESR unfortunately as the 2 are connected. Not sure if an ESR is important for you but just FYI. I will be working on getting sectional ESR's later this year - currently it is available only for full tests.

Thx.

Quick update - my strategy won't work for an ESR. I took a full test (quant and verbal and skipped the IR and AWA and ended the test early) and it did not give me an ESR Option :( :( :(

So you will have to waste another 12 IR questions potentially to take a full test for an ESR. You can consider them a "waste" or perhaps "practice" but keep in mind that we currently have enough IR questions for 7 Full Length tests so IR is the bottleneck.
