The person whom I was mentioning did receive an email confirming that his application is complete as his application will be reviewed in EA round.. he also did an open interview.. but he didn’t get the mail which was rolled out on 22nd September.. so he hasn’t received any mail till now

All I know is Fuqua is very picky.. they are not wowed by high scores, not wowed by applicants going to “top” colleges and getting “top” grades… they look for something more and what that is I have no clue!

Did you receive an email on or about 12th September confirming that your EA application was complete?



Yup! The portal shows application status as submitted. I received the submission confirmation email on the 8th though.
Here’s what the mail said:
“ Congratulations - your application to the Daytime MBA is now complete and will be reviewed in Early Action round! We understand that it takes a lot of time and effort to put together your application. Our team is excited to begin reviewing your application and learning more about you. You will find the decision release date for Early Action round in your applicant portal.”

Don’t be!
And no, I couldn’t. Either due to a tech glitch or coz all the slots were already full, I couldn’t set up one via the app link. I wrote about it to the team as well and they said slot unavailability could be the reason.

You’re not alone.. there are many candidates who interviewed, yet didn’t receive any email.. my feeling is that they’d consider in future rounds.. but it’s just my feeling

Maybe, maybe not. Admissions are a monopoly.
I’m only confused about why I didn’t receive a decision for interview, be it an invite or a rejection or whatever.. it’s a terrible cliffhanger to be into!😵‍💫

someone had posted in this chat group that they emailed to fuqua saying he hasn’t received any email on 22nd.. and fuqua coordinator replied that we can’t give out results on the phone, wait for the mail..

When you login to your mba.com profile you’ll find a GMAT ID in the my profile section. That’s your test taker ID.

Will the application still be considered a R1 application if it is submitted on time but the recommender submits it a day or two after the deadline?

There is usually a grace period for submission of documents and LoRs post deadline, for EA round it was 1 week
