Hey guys, I am applying for R2 at Oxford, just wanted to check, if i’ve got an overall 8.0 in IELTS, but a 6.5 in writing, will that be a problem?

I’m planning on re-taking the IELTS, but might get my result by 13th October which is a day later than the R2 deadline, is there anyway to submit the application and send the test score separately?

Hey, I asked the adcom via email about this and this is what they said:

"If only one element of your IELTS score is lower than target then I would suggest that you should apply and if we have concerns over your English language ability in your Kira assessment or in your interview (if you were to be offered one) then we would raise this is at the time. At that point we may suggest that you re-take your IELTS if we have concerns."

I hope this helps and yes do apply, it's a great score! :)
