Yeah, my main interest would be to get involved in marketing healthy products to kids, as childhood obesity is shooting through the roof.

yeah I actually have a business idea on that also. I was speaking to my family about it over the summer, and they think its a good idea. I am really looking forward to participating in the different business plan, and case study contest.

oh and also, speaking of obesity, I am interested in special sizes in fashion. Many designers and retailers are not addressing this issue.

LOL, you guys are too funny!

But yes, we should be respectful of all diversity and not make jokes about them. :)

This thread's already at 5 pages. I was hoping for Cornell to be the forgetting son that nobody really applies to.

Darn!

I think a lot of the posts are from the same people.

two things from world tour in ATL:

1. Leadership, leadership, and more leadership....a re-occurring theme was candidates who have initiated change and have leadership experience.

2. Really seemed to like career changers.

Cornell, unfortuneately, is a lot of people's backup. Imagine what their figures would be if they implemented a CBS-like ED policy.

Hmmmmm

They already do, sort of - their R1 decision deadline is like 12/10 and you have to give them a deposit by 1/18, only a day or two after most other programs announce their decision.

This is why I'm applying Round 2.

I think I saw last year's decision date was only 1 month after the 1st round deadline, so you were notified in November 17th of last year and, so I suppose the deposit would've been required before the year was over.

Not to mention, they made the application ready only this month.

They gave me the impression that R1 and R2 applicants stand a better chance especially if your profile is overly exceptional due to having more time to read your apps. They see a huge influx of apps in R3. I would imagine a lot of schools are like this.

Anybody composing an essay for the "what hobbies do you have and why do you have special importance for them". Its on the activities section of the application.

I am not sure how to answer this question. Do I talk about a bunch of hobbies and just explain briefly why I pursue them

or

Talk about one hobby and do a PhD dissertation on it.
