B or E for me, but picked B
I don't think the use of past tense in E is correct.

'had' wrong. we need present 'has'. --> A out.
present perfect 'has had' is also wrong as it suggests it has been irrelevant all the while --> C,D out.
'have attracted' is unesscessary as it suggests the classes have been attracting few students in the past and the trend is still true today. --> B is best.

I had picked D initially. But now I think B.
In D 'has had' means the current cirriculum is irrelevant since past to today's world. I think that makes it wrong. What's The OA and explaination? Please provide that.

A very tough choice for me between B and D. First inclination was to pick B. But, not completely sure about this pick. D makes sense to me as well.

I picked A.
...discovered that... had little....classes attracted. All in the past tense. Why do we need present tense, has?
