What I know about P4D from the AO in charge of diversity recruiting:
-Last year only Eli Lily participated
-It was a one year internship then your two years of business school are paid for
-You did not have to return to Eli Lily post-graduation

Suppossovely they are revamping it, but who knows. Hope this helps.

Kryzak,

In Educational History section of the application there is a phrase "International students should list the names and dates of all schools and degrees in the original language". What does it mean? Shall we list the names of our institutions/ universities in our native language: arabic, cyrillic, sanscrit, chineese?

OK. Out of curiosity, how many times has your "what matters most..." essay changed significantly?

I'm at about 5.

Sweet.

2 times but not significantly :) I thought a lot before drafting it.... It was a nice tough essay.

Hi Nick,

Sorry, no idea since I'm not an international student. You should call the admissions office.

Essays need some final revision. Got some great comments from some GSB alums. Otherwise, I hope to submit Friday (and hope my recommenders do so too!)

Maybe I should check out the diversity event...

Re: Calling Stanford Fall 2008 Applicants [#permalink]
I just read this on a blog, and also realized the wording myself last night when I was looking at the Stanford questions... I answered the "Career Aspirations" as a career goals/post-MBA plans question using 2 examples from work to show why I want an MBA. Now I'm doubting myself on whether that's what Stanford is looking for... crap! Am I thinking too much?

Quote:
# Pay attention to the wording of the essay questions. They pick the words for a reason, and omit words for a reason. There is a big difference between asking "career vision", "aspirations" and "post-MBA plans". Hint: Stanford's use of the word "aspirations" means that could be both inside and outside work.

# For Essay B, he said they're not just looking for a 5-year career plan. Again, they're trying to understand what is important to you, inside and outside of work, and how Stanford can support those goals. He also made the point that they know your career progression from other parts of the application (i.e. resume) so don't spend too much time in the essays restating that.

Re: Calling Stanford Fall 2008 Applicants [#permalink]
Shamelessly copying River's post from Chicago GSB thread ;)

Well since the deadline is almost over for R1, time for a Roll call of who applied. Hopefully we can get one going like in the wharton thread, then we can update it as needed with interviews and hopefully lots of admits. Argh the thought of interviews sucks, its going to be horrible waiting once you know someone else got an interview.

Just copy and paste this list into your post and add your name at the bottom, that way we dont have to search through to find everyone.

Don't forget to log your candidacy here!
