I recieved an invite last week and interviewed yesterday. normal 30 minute interview, hit it off with the AdCom who actually participated in one of our free training classes.

I applied in R1, about 6 weeks between submission and interview, but the entire app was complete by the end of November.

Did you have a bottle of tartar sauce in your pocket during your interview?! Hands down, your GMAT story was one of the best I've ever read on this forum...

No, I didn't. But I did sacrific a chicken the night before for good luck.

Thanks for the kind note :-D

good job zakk!!! excited to hear about that! Looks like they're more on top of the ball for the part time program than the FT. Though at least 3 of the FT applicants got interviews here.

Anyway, good luck with the rest of the process!

Just got my Super Saturday invite. Super Saturday is only 1 week from the published decision release. That's not much time.

per BW (not always the most accurate indicator)...but sure looks promising

Applicants (admitted and denied) who were interviewed: 24 %

Admitted applicants who were interviewed: 98 %

Now nobody from GMATClub is going to report an interview invite from Haas until (s)he gets an admit.

Congrats on the invite. My theory is that there may be a flood of invites today even for US based applicants. Haas has to know that if they get back to invites in the first two weeks of January it is going to be increasingly difficult for even US based applicants to make the trip for super saturday.

That said, I won't give up hope if I dont receive an invite today, but my hopes will dim.

who are close to getting in or are already in. I actually went to Haas Undergrad for my bus adm bachelor's and although it wasn't the MBA program per se, we used the same building and had the same professors, so i can attest that it's a great school with a very good student body. The small size of the class makes it unique and intimate, and you'll LOVE the bay area if you have never lived there before. I actually didn't apply because I wanted to get a diversified education, but I still do miss my experience there.

congrats mba2010! You're just cleaning up left and right eh? :)

I still haven't gotten mine. Looks like all the love I'm showing them ain't making the invite come any faster...

at least I live in the area, so no plane tickets to worry about. I'll just keep that weekend free in case I get something after New Years Day.

Good luck mba2010! Maybe I'll see you at Super Saturday (I hope!)

dj, yes, Haas is a great program that's only recently getting recognized. Like Tuck, they are very close, collaborative, have great professors, and place people in good positions after graduation. Maybe not as many as the financial or consulting powerhouses, but you'll get a good job after you come out. :)

Just got an interview invite from Haas. This is for the PT program ofcourse. So now I have 3 invites for the 3 PT programs I have applied for but still waiting in vain for the only FT program (Stanford) I applied.

It's pure conjecture, but does anybody want to venture a guess as to what % of R1 applicants who will be interviewed have already received invites?

I know the e-mail we all got from Haas stated that invites are sent out as applications are reviewed and the review process is random. I'm just curious as to how big of a dent they've made in the R1 applications thus far.

based on numbers I've seen and how few people have gotten invites for FT, I would say 25% of interviewees have been invited.
