I wrote an essay as well. I guess I could have been more creative, but I had some important points that I wanted to get across and I couldn't think of a better way to do it.

I think doing a 4 slide PPT will make it obvious you applied to GSB...schools know each others questions.

Yeah a PPT will say that you have just reused the Chicago PPT .. even if the number of slides is not 4.

Guys...that might be true...but they KNOW most of their applicants are applying to Chicago, Wharton, Columbia, and others ANYWAY.

Knowing that applicants are applying other schools too is different from knowing that an applicant just copied the other school's essays/PPT for your question(s).

Yes, but, its just like copying other essays, which ppl do all the time. Bascially they read it but they're not like private investigators, and be like HMMMM i suspect this has been copied, there are these clues, and there are those clues, etc etc, mUAHHAHAHA gotcha.... becuase if they do that, they'd find most kids, what 90% maybe? copy stuff from other apps, and they'd just be needlessly paranoid all day.

I think they just take the material for face value, then move on.

Just my 2 cents.

Well its not like its gonna be a straight copy, it will be pretty well tailored to NYU.Perhaps I will drop one slide and make it a 3 page ppt - just to distinguish myself ...

Guys,

Does Stern provide the students' loans with CitiAssist as easily as H/S/W do? Or do they bring the admitted students to their knees to beg for the loans?

Did you mean no no co-signed loans?

No co-signed loan in itself seems to be a good thing. But according to CitiAssist eligibility section at https://w4.stern.nyu.edu/finaid/types.cfm?doc_id=3954 , the co-signer is required ("International student with U.S. citizen or permanent resident co-signer")... Is my understanding correct?

Did anyone get an email from a current student, saying that they got your contact information from the admissions and were in your town over the winter break...and are willing to answer any questions about Stern?

I don't have an interview yet and waiting for a long long time, but just got this email from a girl.... not sure what that means

I am a current first year NYU student. If anybody has any questions about student life, faculty, facilities, let me know. I'll do my best to answer. I don't know too much about admissions though but can try answer as best I can.

Stern will conduct hub interviews for internationals (R1) only in March and the last date for the decision is 28th feb. How does this work? Does the school consider these candidates along with R2?

This may seem like a really stupid question to ask, but does Stern require recommendations at all ? I just started my application and can't seem to find the place where I can notify my recommendors from. Perhaps someone can point me in the correct direction ?
