OK, i will start doing a bit more research and list them down here.

Should be useful for the knowledge vault once it gets more complete and we get some input from current students.

partners at duke are very involved. fuqua friday is our weekly social hour featuring free food and drinks. there are always lots of kids there getting handed around.

i would also think about the offerings in a given city. for example, ithaca is a great place for kids with tons of parks and lots of young parents. cost of living is pretty affordable too.

Correction to the GSB. There are two things... One is the partners club and the other, as part of the Partners club is the POLO Club (Parents Of Little Ones). They don't have their own webpage though.

Also that link you have is strictly for part timer....

https://student.chicagogsb.edu/group/chipart/

This is the full time partner page I believe.

HKUST - No accomodation facilities for families or children. Have to find private accomodation. No partners club

NUS - Will sponsor the visa of your spouse, but not for your children!!! No partners club

What about childcare? How friendly are schools about providing some kind of reduced daycare for two partners that work?

To me, that is much more important! :-D

I dont think any schools have reduced daycare cost, some will work with you to increase what you are allowed to borrow in loans. Your best bet is your gf/wife gets a job where the company has daycare on site or offers subsidies or something. I met a few international students wives who were nannies since they did have visas to work...it was under the table of course.

Unfortunately even schools like Tuck and Duke which are very friendly to families having a kid during school is a huge cost that you are going to have to deal with. Basically your significant other better make more than daycare or she might be better off staying at home, she could nanny someone elses kid for some money.

GeorgeTown offers child care for students with kids. They claim it is a reduced rate but I dont know what the going rate is.

Re: Child Friendly MBA Schools / Non Child Friendly [#permalink]
yes, for internationals with children, it's a massive issue, as a lot of partners are unable to work due to visa issues, therefore the costs can become astronomical. It was one of the key reasons for me to apply to asian schools where i can afford a full time maid ($250-350 USD per month) and get accomodation which can have swimming pools, playgrounds and hawker stalls for food convenience. on top of that the ex-pat community can help with settling in because there are lots of non-working partners whose husbands/wives are the breadwinners on ex-pat packages so they don't have to work.

the other benefit of the ex-pat community is that a lot of these people on ex-pat packages are in hiring positions. This provides another networking opportunity.

I did find out on my visit to UNC that they do provide full tuition for some students childcare expenses. Unfortunately, due to demand, they can not accomadate more than about 20 per year. :(
