i think you've got your priorities right: do that other stuff first. extra courses are an extra, IF you have time/desire.

I was in the same situation last year - not great grade in calculus, but didn't have time to re-take it. I got a good score in GMAT, wrote in additional essay that I kept balance between study and work (started working from the second year to be independent from my parents) and got an admit to Ross. So, advice about GMAT quantitative section having greater importance over mathematics grades in undergrad are true. Also, as you already know, the process of admission is holistic :) and there could be other things that played more important role than the grade in calculus and if I wouldn't have them in my profile then only a better grade in calculus could have helped.
