Texas we are both in the same situation. Any ideas why they put us on WL despite the interview ? I always thought an NYU interview is almost an 80% chance of making it in.

a delayed april fool's...

I got a pop up email from NYU and was thinking it was a status change but they told me they were missing my transcript. What I think happened is they didn't match my maiden name with my married name and misplaced it. Hope this doesn't delay my decision.

I'd take a delayed "yes" over a quick "no" any day!

dang, ryguy... i did not know you applied to NYU, but i am extremely surprised that you did not get in with your profile. man, you finished the CFA, have a good GMAT score and good work ex. what do they friggin want?! sorry to hear of your waitlist.

Thanks for the nice comments about the profile. If I told you where I worked, you'd also probably roll over. My work experience is truly unique and I think I'd be a great addition to any b-school classroom.

Sadly, I have no idea what they are looking for! Didn't even get the opportunity to represent in an interview.

Hopefully this is the right place to post this. I am planning to apply for full-time admission in fall 2009 and am currently interested in both NYU and Columbia (post-MBA goals of IB, NYC location, brand, etc). I have heard that most people only "fit" with one or the other school but not both. For those of you who applied to both or at least considered/visited both, did you find this to be true? Or, did you feel like you would fit well at either?

FYI...I do plan to visit in the fall, but I am just trying to get a feel for them both now. Thanks.

I applied to both and I think I would fit at both. I'm curious to see what others say about the "fit" though.
